Louvre doors open to MOPI

Louvre doors open to MOPI

It’s bound to be a profitable day for the Louvre, as students in the hundreds come to visit Abu Dhabi’s new jewel attraction
Following the usual scheduled sport’s competition, students from local and foreign delegations were treated to a surprise by the organizers, in the form of a free trip to the Louvre.
This newly constructed museum constructed on the outskirts of the main city borrows its name from the prestigious Paris Louvre, and boasts the greatest and most varied collection in Abu Dhabi.
Thanks to a bulk deal on tickets, the school was able to buy enough tickets to allow every athlete and organizer to tour the Louvre’s collections, as a shining example  of one of the MOPI’s main tenets: to spread and allow students to uncover the intricacies of French culture, because there’s nothing more French than museums, especially the Louvre.
Thanks to an exclusive pass, the LLM’s team of reporters was able to follow the students as they made their way through all of the Louvre’s prominent exhibitions, from ancient culture to modern art.
Thanks to the exchange program between the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Louvre Paris, the students of the MOPI were able to marvel at some of the greatest pieces available without going to Paris! The selection includes famous pieces like Napoleon crossing the Alps (pictured above) or Van Gogh’s Auto portrait, as well as historically relevant artefacts like a full set of samurai armour or ancient Sumerian burial statues.
